Nap time

Braxten has been a good sleeper for a while now so today when he woke up after 45 minutes I let him try to go back to sleep. He wasn't having it so I went to get him. As I picked him up he laid his head on my shoulder as he has done in the past to wake up and calm down a bit. This time his little head stayed there for a while so we sat in the glider and he slept on me for 20 minutes!! This has never happened so I savored every minute! I can't get enough snuggles with my little man, I am still amazed that I can love him more each day! We are truly blessed! Now for the amazement that he is almost 1 year old!!!!! Oh my!

Walking with help

Well I thought crawling better was exciting but B wanted to do more :)

Big boy crawling

Braxten is crawling more and more. He still Marine crawls but more often than not we are moving quickly after Rocky on our hands and knees!

Crawling

We have been crawling more often now! Marine crawling is still the fastest option for B but he has begun to get up on all fours and crawl! He is changing everyday making each day an adventure! Pictures of the amazing baby shower to come!

Dancing

Another sleep change

Well, Braxten is no longer standing and screaming in the middle of the night. It took two hard nights of training but he sleeps through the 4am play time that he used to have too. He wakes up now between 645 and 730, not bad. The change being that he no longer goes back to sleep until 830 or 9. Small adjustment but that extra hour of sleep was pretty nice. He is one happy boy in the morning just wanting to play with toys and chase Rocky so the thought of going back to bed quickly diminishes when you hear the sounds of joy as he plays. Only a few more months of being the only child so we are letting him enjoy it all :) Love our little man!!!

New phase

So a new phase has begun. Two days ago I walked into Braxten's room in the morning and he stood in his crib smiling at me. "Look we I can do" was the look. I was proud for a second then it hit me... New phase. It started with him standing and sitting about 8 times with no problem, it seemed like a game and fun to plop back down. I left for work and later was told on one sit he bumped his head... Fun over :( Now he stands in the crib screaming and crying until you go in and lay him back down. It has only taken one time in the past episodes to calm him and have him go back to sleep but we are working on the third time now. Goodbye sleep, the last month or so was nice. Hello new phase, please pass quickly.

Exploring

So we are exploring more and more. From the stairs to under the table, going to be a busy day of chasing a baby!

Love for spoons

Braxten does not love to eat with spoons although he is getting better. We have found that the food that comes in squeezable pouches is his favorite. We start by squeezing it to a spoon and once that gets old he holds the spoon and we squeeze the food into his mouth. So much for homemade food for this kiddo! At least he is eating a lot more this way!
